I shop at IGA stores for meats. They carry in my opinion the best top quality beef, chicken and pork. I am a "shopper" and I expect to get what I pay for. I have purchased cheaper priced meats by a few dollars per pound and was so upset at the quality. Not all "certified beef" is great meat (taste and chew). The brand of beef that IGA carries have never disappointed me! I do not want beef or pork that "the more I chew, the more I get"!!! I want chicken that is grass fed. NO chemicals. Therefore, I have narrowed down my meat purchases to IGA and two other supermarkets in my area, but IGA first. I am retired and have worked to be able to buy the best in my "golden years". I am looking forward to getting some great deals for Christmas on B.C. beef!
I've generally found the employees helpful and polite. Prices are comparable to other stores. they are easy to run in and grab what you need and get out. My husband rarely goes anywhere else if he's doing the shopping.
